World Health +SocialGood
The fifth year of the World Health +SocialGood event was broadcasted live from the World Health Assembly
The World Health Assembly (WHA) is the supreme decision-making body of the World Health Organization. Held annually in Geneva, Switzerland, WHA is attended by delegations from all 194 World Health Organization (WHO) Member States.
WHA focuses on a health agenda that covers a wide range of key global health issues from non-communicable diseases, to nutrition, to emergency outbreaks, to universal health coverage. This year, WHO’s 70th anniversary, Member States voted on the Director-General’s General Programme of Work that will guide the organization through 2023. Learn more about the 71st World Health Assembly here.
On May 22, 23, and 24, at the seventy-first WHA, WHO and the United Nations Foundation partnered to produce World Health +SocialGood.
Through a daily live, 30-minute online broadcast, World Health +SocialGood provided insight into the major issues being debated at the World Health Assembly, while offering exclusive, original content and conversations with experts — including opportunities for viewers to ask questions.
