“Will the world be different because of your presence?”

This question still rings in my mind from Tuesday’s luncheon where I had the privilege to meet Ronan Dunne, Group President of Verizon Wireless. The event was put together in New York City by the Kairos Society — an organization which builds and funds companies to solve global problems.

The conversation at lunch focused on making education more accessible, while reducing the burden on students. Topics of discussion also included technology and FinTech.

Ronan expressed his passion for supporting strategic efforts towards ensuring that people follow their dreams. Furthermore, he encouraged others to come up with innovative ideas that could ameliorate the educational system. The Founder of the Kairos Society, Ankur Jain, was also present at the luncheon. He agreed with Ronan about the importance of trying to make the educational system more meaningful.

It is important for young people to realize that the future of the world depends on our collective strengths and dreams. Moreover, it is imperative to take actions that will ensure the development of our communities by providing others with various learning opportunities and teaching them about the significance of the Global Goals. This is a focal point of my initiatives, SocialGood Ghana and Educational Communities Worldwide — 501 ©(3) non-profit organizations that have the same mission as described above.
