A #SocialGoodTech Chat: Machine Learning for a Better World
Robots and machines are becoming more accurate, sophisticated, and effective, making them potentially useful in a host of development programs. Innovators are realistically imagining a future where robots and self-driving cars can diagnose diseases, prepare meals, and deliver aid. However, while machine learning carries great promise, there are possibilities for less positive outcomes, including the machination of discrimination.
How do we ensure robots and machines are used for social good? +SocialGood and UNICEF Innovate will co-host this #SocialGoodChat to explore how machine learning can move us closer to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, including the four principles for ethical machine learning.
